Job Description:

The Pediatrics, Neonatology and Pediatric Surgery Department of the Centre Hospitalier Intercommunal d’Aix-Pertuis (CHIAP) is recruiting staff for pediatric emergency care, pediatric intensive care, and the neonatology unit with the possibility of long-term career development toward a permanent hospital practitioner position.


This role offers an opportunity to work in a high-volume, well-structured pediatric service within a reference public hospital located in a dynamic and attractive region of southern France.


Monthly Income Potential:
According to public hospital status and experience (including additional on-call compensation)

  • 23-bed pediatric inpatient unit (ages 1 month to 18 years)

  • 4-bed pediatric continuous care unit

  • Level 2B maternity unit on the Aix site

  • Level 1 maternity unit on the Pertuis site (IHAB-certified)

  • Multidisciplinary day hospital

  • Learning disorders unit

  • Pediatric unit for children at risk (UAPED)

  • Neurodevelopment coordination and orientation platform (PCO)

  • Early childhood medical-social action center (CAMSP)

A project for new pediatric emergency facilities is currently underway, with the objective of centralizing all pediatric and trauma activities.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Requirements:


Medical degree with specialization as:
– Pediatrician
– Neonatologist
– Emergency physician
– General practitioner with strong training in pediatric emergencies


  • Eligibility to practice in France (registration with the Ordre des Médecins)

  • Strong clinical skills in pediatric emergency and inpatient care

  • French language proficiency B1 minimum (support available)
